Your Invitation to Explore the rich Indigenous heritage of Northeast Alberta

Imagine … the song of dancing leaves … the welcome flutter of wings … crisp, clean pine scented air … stillness.

Deep in Alberta’s Boreal Forest … an opportunity for an authentic Indigenous experience …. or your own solitary communion with nature. Hideaway’s host and owner, John Ritchie, welcomes you to this magical land and offers an unforgettable experience, a day, an overnight visit, the time is yours to enjoy.

Take a solitary walk in the woods, learn the history and art of Indigenous crafting or try your hand at woodsmanship.  You’re invited to settle round the fire to roast and enjoy the savoury treat of bannock, then sat back and relax for the wonder of Indigenous storytelling. John provides diverse and immersive opportunities that will leave you richer in knowledge and calmer in soul.

Hideaway Adventure Grounds … this is your invitation to explore.
